A case of multiple osteoma was diagnosed on an ancient skeleton recovered during an archaeological excavation in a medieval necropolis in North West Lombardy (Italy), in 2002. The skull belonged to an adult woman, (estimated age at death 40e50 years). The purpose of radiological analyses on the skull was to investigate a traumatic lesion on the front-parietal region: a small quadrangular perforation probably caused by pointed weapon with a pyamidal trunk head
